The wing vestibule accessory will enhance your awning’s leisure area by providing additional shade, and protection from wind and rain. It attaches underneath the front of the awning and extends out to the ground. Two side wings provide additional cover on the sides. It creates a nice space to store gear, put some chairs, or keep a pet. It also adds privacy if the front windows are open. Made with the same cotton canvas as our tents. Fits all models of both the Kodiak Canvas 10x10 and 10x14 Flex-Bow tents. The wing vestibule does not fully enclose the awning area. There will be openings on both sides. Note that you will be required to add 2-3 grommets to your awning for optimal fit. Grommet kits (sold separately) are available at most home improvement stores or other online retailers
Without the tent, this accessory is of little use.

I am so happy I decided to get this vestibule! The canvas is strong and study and thick enough to keep out the elements. It extends my camping experience by allowing shade and dryness away from rain and coolness away from the sun to enjoy the "outdoors". Easy to put up and no issues for me. Great extra to the Kodiak Canvas Flexbow.
This Vestibule adds very usable space and protection from the sun. Even in the tent during the day, it shades the tent and keeps the mid-day temperatures down. Great protection for gear as well and it really bolsters the awning which I have never fully enjoyed until now.
Will hold up I'm sure. Wish the stakes were the same as the ones for the tent. I did not like the fact that I had to put grommets in the Awning on a new tent. This should have been rectified by now with Kodiak tents. I just purchased mine 2 months ago so it's not an old model.
Apart from that, I'm happy. That is rare.
We are glad to hear you are happy with your wing vestibule and appreciate your feedback! Within the last few years, we have updated the structure and durability of our flex-bow tents. With these changes and when coming out with our vestibule accessory, we needed to have a product that could accommodate those who are buying a new tent with a vestibule, and those who may have the older version of our flex-bow tents that would like to purchase a vestibule as well. We have found that having two vestibules in our product line, that can be adapted to fit multiple needs depending on age and size of the connecting tent with just a few quick grommet placements, rather than 3-4 different vestibule styles is more cost effective for both us and our customers. We will take your feedback into consideration for future alterations though!
On a semi positive note I did find the people that I interfaced with at Kodiak to be generally friendly and helpful but a bit disorganized. They got my order processed and shipped to me in good condition very quickly and efficiently. The products I received seem to be well constructed at first glance and set up and I expect to perform well in the field.
And now the but-
In my opinion, it is EXTREMELY lame that the seller does not provide a ready to go out of the box product. The buyer, possibly not particular knowledgeable about the how-to-use involved) has to potentially purchase a grommet kit. (add $12-$35) to the cost of the vestibule) and then spent time to install 3 additional grommets. The argument of not wanting to stock multiple wings is bogus since the alteration occurs to the tent not the wing. Tents could just be manufactured to allow use of a wing. It should cost their Chinese manufacturer very much to add a 3 more grommets to the tent awning. Why would you want a non professional to modify your product?
Also Kodiak is not definitive on the web site description as to whether you actually will need to add grommets or not. If Kodiak needs to add $5-$10 more to the cost then that's the way to go IMO.
On top of that the wing requires multiple stakes to work. None of which are supplied with the wing nor is there a mention that you will need them.
Thirdly the descriptions states that a 3rd guy line is included with the wing. The one I received did not. Thankfully I have extra rope and know how to tie a taut line hitch. Another lack of attention to detail.
The instructions could be better written as well.
Very disappointing. All in all, a ONE FINGER RATING.

The description of the vestiuble on our website states, 'Depending on your tent, you may be required to add two grommets to your awning for optimal fit.' There are optional stake loops in the vestibule that are not required- hence stakes are not included. We apologize that you did not receive the guy rope with your product. We will get that shipped out for you.

We're enjoying the vestibule so far. It provides a lot more privacy and storage for things outside the tent. I rigged up a third wall to provide additional coverage from a strong storm that came through last night.
The product is well constructed, and adding the grommets was very easy. Looking forward to using the vestibule and tent all week long. The other campers are jealous of our covered outdoor area. Very functional and pitches much better than trying the same thing with a square tarp.
