The awning took about as long to set up as the canvas tent.
It was difficult to set up with 2 people and connecting it to the 12x16 tent was not as easy as it should have been, definitely some room for improvement.
2 uses for it so far. I flew it over my Pup Tent with Lid for about a week between a couple of trees in the forest. I only used 1 of the 2 poles for that setup. The other time I used it with no poles and just created a big shade for my vehicle/home.
It fits perfect. I had it setup for about a week in one spot of the forest. I noticed a great ecosystem developing under it today when I broke it down. Looks like moths and spiders enjoy the empty space created between it and the roof of the Pup Tent.
More for my house that I live in sometimes it seems like. It is like bringing along a deflated stand-up paddleboard rolled up. If you have room, it is plush and comfortable. It is summertime right now when I have been using it. I suspect it will get more use in the colder weather by me and a 50 lb. dog named Ella.
Having used Kodiak Canvas tents for years with a youth group, I finally purchased a tent for our family. These tents are wonderful. I love how easy it is to set them up, and I love the space they provide for the family! A key to longevity it making sure the tent is dry when put into storage. We are always very thorough in our take down and storage prep. I expect the tent to last for many years to come!
