Waterproof fabric, high quality materials, sturdy in the wind. We unfortunately have had a couple of encounters with bears (while we weren’t there! Nothing to do with food!), which ruined a couple of our tents. Kodiak was very generous in giving us a discount to replace the bodies. We just purchased a floor liner and an enclosed awning, which we very much look forward to using! Thank you Kodiak Canvas.
My wife and I bought two of these back in August and have used them a couple of times now.
We don’t like the synthetic things that abound now, and thankfuly we found Kodiak Canvas.
We love the materials these sleeping bags are made of. They feel durable, and we don’t walk around with the fear of “oh no, a sneeze tore it.” Even though they are indeed bulky, that doesn’t bother us much since we don’t do backpacking.
We recommend them for families who go car camping, but they’re definitely not for backpackers looking to save space.
This tent has been a blast to use. I've taken it on a handful of winter campouts every year and it has held up well. I've used it with a Camp Chef Alpine cylinder stove. I'm considering upgrading to the 12x12 or 12x16 in the future.
Bought this at Cowboy Christmas and had it shipped home. Haven’t taken it camping yet but I did sit in it in the living room and watched Landman😂 pretty typical to get in and of the included canvas bag. Very comfortable. 2 cup holders. A little heavy but it’s worth it for the durability it seems to have. I’ll be taking this along when we truck camp. I think it’s about 3’ long when packed.
Started with the Truck Tent. Back of my slightly raised 2500 truck has a drawer system in it plus a 9” mattress on top made it more difficult for me and the Mrs. to climb up there. (Don’t get old, people) Now, with this 12x9 and a queen sized cot/air mattress, camping is so much more enjoyable. Set up time was cut in half. The only “issue” (and it wasn’t really that bad. Just annoying) is the little “pins” the poles have to go over. Maybe make the stake loops bigger, put a cap on the end of the poles (like the awning poles) and have the tent poles fit into those loops with the tent steak?? Idk. Just an idea. Other than that, GREAT tent. We’ll be camping more often. 15 minute set up with me and the Mrs. working together?? Yeah. I’m down with that.
