Model 8101. Born in the Australian Outback, the Kodiak Canvas Swag tent is a highly versatile, one-person, portable sleep system. It is an advanced evolution of the traditional bedroll. Add a blanket or sleeping bag, and you have all you need to bed down. Unroll and set it up in a matter of minutes. It is six feet eight inches long and nearly three feet wide, providing a roomy sleeping space even for big guys. Use it on the ground, in the bed of a pickup, or with a compatible cot.*

It’s made with premium-grade, Hydra-Shield™, 100% cotton duck canvas. The tight weave and silicone finish make the canvas watertight yet breathable, minimizing condensation and mugginess. Unlike canvas tents of years past, our canvas will not wick water. Watertight and breathable means you stay more comfortable. Aluminum alloy poles provide sturdy structure. The floor is a heavy-duty, puncture-resistant, 16 oz vinyl that keeps water out. Unzip screened windows in the head and foot for airflow. These windows have small awnings over them so they can be opened even when it’s raining. When weather permits, roll the top cover back, and it’s like sleeping under the stars. The screen mesh keeps bugs and critters out. Included is a 2-inch thick, open-cell polyurethane foam mattress pad. The pad has a removable flannel cover that can be washed. When it’s time to move, the Swag packs up in no time, mattress pad, sleeping bag (sold separately), blankets, and all. Everything is neatly rolled and ready for the next stop. When adventure calls, grab your swag and go.

The Swag tent includes a tension pole that allows it to be set up freestanding without guy ropes or stakes, making it ideal for use in truck beds, on cots, or in areas where staking is difficult. It also adds additional rigidity to the frame.

Kodiak Swag tent review.

36 YO about 511, 180 lbs. I purchased this rig to avoid having to hear snoring in the motor home on hunting trips. This rig is great and held up to the hot days and cold nights. I did have to dry the sleeping pad out after a hard nights rain, but stayed dry for the night. The bottom of the tent is mad of a tough rigid waterproof plastic like material. This helps prevent you from soaking up ground water into the tent. The canvas body of the tent is great. It appears to be breathable, yet hold heat when you need it. It is also durable enough to rip or tear under normal contact or collisions.

I work night shifts and sleep regularly during the day. I set this tent up in my basement and sleep during the day. It keeps me in a dark environment and allows me to get the sleep I need. I feel like that speaks to the comfort and quality of this tent. I have sleep about 200 days a year in this tent. Great Zippers. Great sleeping pad. I do have this tent set up on a Cabelas cot. I did buy the bar to allow me to keep the tent taunt without having the ends staked into the ground.

I would buy this tent again and recommend to a friend.

Love it!

Bought a Swag 1-person tent for a backcountry mule deer hunt in southern New Mexico. Slept in it 5 days and love it! Zippers are heavy duty, tent floor is very durable, set up is fast and easy. I am a side sleeper and the included foam mattress is excellent. Only modification I made was I added bungee chords to tie down the vent flaps instead of the included adjustable line.

2nd A+ Review

This is my second review. I love this tent! I've been using it since late winter until present and I couldn't be happier! If you're on the fence about this, buy it. It's great for solo primitive camping. I stay comfortably warm and cool in warmer months. I usually have a Ridgeline over it just to help keep the night out, but it's fine as a stand alone. I also set it up on a cot for easier in and out.
It will not disappoint!

Great tent

Slept in 7 nights on first trip it rained first 2 nights, stayed nice and dry. Very comfortable, ground was rocky but the cushion did a great job. Is plenty big inside for me even rolling from back to sides, I’m 6’3” 220. Would be very warm for summer camping.
