This is an amazing tent. I bought it 12 years ago and it is still going strong with one little issue that has since been corrected by Kodiak.
I have re weatherproofed the seams and most of the top a few years back as I had a tiny bit of rain get through during a full on storm. Last night the tent went through a random hail storm here in Texas (small pea sized) and it was loud but weathered the storm like it was nothing.
The only issue I have is the Velcro straps stopped working many years ago. I thought about putting snaps in place but decided that may not work well.
I contacted Kodiak customer service who told me they would not repair/replace them if I sent it to them. But they told me that they got rid of the Velcro in favor of a new skeleton system. Great news!
So I’m going to buy new parts and keep enjoying my tent for hopefully many more years.
Btw the strap on the ceiling has held a fan for many years also and using a good piece of wood has acted like a shelf in the unit for good storage just watch your head.
Lastly i highly recommend a urinal catch can with long tube for your late night party urination convenience if you don’t like getting out of your truck. It comes in clutch!

Bought this tent to use while camping out in Utah, it performed very well with my 6'6" bed. Despite there being lots of rain, the front and rear covered windows allow you to have the windows open for ventilation without getting rain inside the tent. The tent felt very roomy for my wife and I and felt secure to the truck.
Since then I have used this tent many times in places like Joshua Tree, El Mirage, and Zion, and every time I am impressed with the build quality. The thickness of the canvas makes me feel this tent will last for years to come.
The tent is easy to setup and provides a great amount of space in the bed of his 6.5’ F150 truck bed. We purchased a 4” full size tri-fold mattress to fit in the tent. We are now camping in style and sleeping like babies.
Very well made tent! Set up is a bit more difficult than I expected. Had to buy new c clamps since the ones provided were not even close and ended up using blocks of wood to attach pole rail. Tried it out once but with temperatures in the 30's and 40's will pack away until spring and summer.
Thank you for your review and feedback. The C-Clamps provided with the tent are standard size and may not fit all bed rails, expecially if tonneau covers are present. We are glad you were able to find C-Clamps that worked and enjoyed your first stay in your tent!
Spent the first weekend in the tent and it was amazing. Rained all night but we didn’t feel a drop. Great product
