9 x 8 ft. Flex-Bow Deluxe Canvas Camping Tent

I bought mine last summer for up here in the Colorado Rockies. I used it for two summers and for 2025 elk season. It got down to 10-15 degrees at night, dumped snow all night. I had my buddy heater on low to dry my gear I had hanging inside. If not for looking outside , I wouldn’t have known it was storming. I stayed more than warm with zero condensation on the walls. The only thing that could make this tent the best ever made would be if it was “backpackable.” Zippers are heavy duty, the poles are heavy duty, even their tent stakes are heavy duty. The air flow inlets on the high sides of the walls were very well thought out, so no matter what direction the wind is you can get perfect airflow or shut them off completely. Well done Kodiak!

If you camp all the time like I do—more than most people—this Kodiak Canvas tent is a total game-changer! It’s made my van camping so much better. Setting it up is a breeze—it takes me about 10 minutes now, but even the first time, during 40mph gusts, I still got it up in 20 minutes. In no time, you’ve got a private, comfortable space to sleep, change clothes, read, or just escape the rain.
The durability really stands out. The first week I used it, it rained , and it kept everything inside dry and comfortable. If you’re dealing with rocky ground and can’t get the stakes in, you can just use paracord and big rocks (as you can see in the pic), and you’re good to go.
I also love that Kodiak Canvas offers just the replacement canvas body if you need it down the road 5 years ,which is a more affordable option than buying all the poles and stakes again.
So far, I’ve set it up twice, and I’m really impressed with how solid it is. I’ve seen plenty of 5-year reviews from others, and I’m hopeful it’ll last that long for me too. I try to be mindful and go easy when zipping up the doors to hopefully keep them in great shape.
All in all, I can’t recommend this tent enough. If you camp as often as I do, this is the shelter you need. Huge thanks to Kodiak Canvas for making such an incredible product!

I bought this tent for Sukkot. I did a test run in setting it up before I need it next month. I was a little puzzed about how to go about it; so I watched a video. After that it was a breeze. I love that I don't have all the lines to tie off. I think I will be able to do it by myself next time. The components especially the tub of the tent is so heavy duty. I love the canvas walls. If this passes the rain test and the zippers holds up it may be the best tent I have ever tried and I have been through a lot. Thank you for quality.

This year's Burning Man (2025) started with a 3 hour whiteout sandstorm featuring winds up to 60 miles/hour! Many structures and tents were blown down or damaged, but NOT this 9x8 flex-bow canvas tent by Kodiak!! The day after the sandstorm there was heavy rain, with winds, but again my Kodiak tent withstood it all. My fellow Burners were impressed and wanted to know what kind of tent it was : ) And it is tall enough to stand in and quite roomy too.

Already own the 10x14 and added this for solo use with cot and room to spare. High quality construction and easy setup. Very comfortable to sleep in due to breathability. It is expensive, but for me, an investment in comfort and durability.
