I’m 6’5” 240, got the XL and had room to move around. Very warm and comfortable. Make sure to cut tags and do not rip them off, I tore through the seam ripping a tag off 🙃
Heavy duty rope with these and the slack adjusters these use are some of my favorite.
This is an amazing tent. I bought it 12 years ago and it is still going strong with one little issue that has since been corrected by Kodiak.
I have re weatherproofed the seams and most of the top a few years back as I had a tiny bit of rain get through during a full on storm. Last night the tent went through a random hail storm here in Texas (small pea sized) and it was loud but weathered the storm like it was nothing.
The only issue I have is the Velcro straps stopped working many years ago. I thought about putting snaps in place but decided that may not work well.
I contacted Kodiak customer service who told me they would not repair/replace them if I sent it to them. But they told me that they got rid of the Velcro in favor of a new skeleton system. Great news!
So I’m going to buy new parts and keep enjoying my tent for hopefully many more years.
Btw the strap on the ceiling has held a fan for many years also and using a good piece of wood has acted like a shelf in the unit for good storage just watch your head.
Lastly i highly recommend a urinal catch can with long tube for your late night party urination convenience if you don’t like getting out of your truck. It comes in clutch!
Happy camping!
Brother has this tent and loved it.Have spent many night in his tent and loved it. I just bought 2 more for my kids. Great quality. Easy to set up and take down. Tent will last a long time.
My wife and I had a flex-bow tent a few years ago and really loved it.
Then (foolishly) we got a small camper and sold our Kodiak Canvas tent. Well, fast forward to today: we sold the camper and are back with the Kodiak Canvas flex-bow tent. The tent is fantastic. Well made, weatherproof, easy to put up, roomy, comfortable, and just a great fit for us. Other 'pluses' of the flex-bow tent: more economical and minimal maintenance as compared to a camper, many more campsites available vs. the camper, so much less to worry and bother with. Overall, we couldn't be more pleased with our Kodiak Canvas tent, it's really brought back the relaxation, simplicity, and fun to camping again! Definately 5 Stars!!
