Our heavy-duty poly Ground Tarps are the perfect companion for your Kodiak Canvas Tent. These heavy-duty tarps will help preserve the floor of your tent, leading to longer tent life. 7 different sizes to choose from.

Please Note:

The tarp grommets do not line up with the corners of your tent and are NOT needed when being used as a ground tarp underneath your tent (the grommets are only there for your convenience when using the tarp for other purposes).

By design, the ground tarp is slightly smaller than the footprint of your tent. This allows rain to flow off the tent and onto the ground, preventing water from pooling between the tent floor and the ground tarp. If a portion of the ground tarp sticks out past the edge of your tent, fold that edge of the tarp under your tent. Please do NOT stake the tarp down under your tent. Simply lay it flat – it is held in place by the weight of your tent.

I love that its a perfect footprint for my 10’x10’ canvas flewbow tent. Its designed to fit just shy of where you would drive the stakes in. Note that the grommets are for hanging it to dry, after use (not to align with tent stakes). Its thicker than most tarps, and allows rain to flow off the roof/walls of tent without pooling from an ill-fitted tarp underneath. Preserves the tent flooring, especially when camping on rocky/rough ground.

Works good for 12x16 kodiak. Use small stakes to hold down if putting tent up solo

I Tarp I ordered for my 9x8 Kodiak canvas tent is great. It is designed especially for my tent and fits it perfectly. It is very heavy duty and should last indefinitely

Wonderful Tents

I have purchased 4 Kodiak tents. A two-man tent; a four-man tent; and two six-man tents. I gave the four-man tent to one of my kids and a six-man to another. As I was getting ready to go camping again, I realized the two-man, while being in pristine condition, was not large enough for what we needed for this family reunion camping trip. Mind you, I am 71 years old and have been camping regularly since I was a toddler. Having served in Boy Scouts for over 30 years, I have seen every kind of tent there is. For Car camping, there is nothing I have ever seen that is any better than a Kodiak Canvas tent. If you don't have one, get one.

Does the job

Needed to replace a pole on my cabin tent, as a large, impressive animal leaned against the old one…tent held up well! I do wish the Velcro pole tabs on the cabin tent held up better, as they are the weak link in an otherwise excellent product. All of them have failed in the stiff wind, reducing the strength of the tent overall.

Thank you for your feedback regarding the velcro poles connectors. We will take this into consideration for future design upgrades.

Great Buy and super dry

I have owned multiple canvas tents over the years from grandpa’s old green White Stag to large outfitter wall tents. I just bought a flexbow 10x10 for summer car camping here in Montana. This thing is a winner. Easy for one old guy to setup, (watch a YouTube video the directions are worthless). Once setup I hosed it down to get the canvas and seams to swell and seal. Usually this results in leaks where the seams and canvas allows water to weep in. After 10 minutes of soaking the tent I peeked inside and there wasn’t a drop of water in it. I really poured the water on the seams with decent pressure. I can’t believe how the water just beads off and pours down the sides. There is something hydrophobic on the canvas. I was really surprised. This will be great for quick overnights and getaways. Grab the tent, some grub, and head out for a fishing trip or a weekend hunt. I’m sold on these.

High quality tent

We bought a mid sized truck tent, have used it multiple times, and absolutely love it. We had owned a cheaper model years ago, by another manufacturer that utilized fiberglass poles, and we broke poles and lost tips over time. Kodiak’s aluminum poles with the interior cable and spring system is much stronger and reliable. We really like the plastic part that sits at the foot of the tent, where the tailgate is open, and you can leave your footwear there when inside the tent. The high vault of the tent is quite roomy, and very comfortable. The zippers and bug screens are well made, fantastic tent, highly recommend. My only criticism is keeping the metal rails securely in place. I have a Tacoma, and there’s a Tacoma plastic rail underneath the sides of the bed that necessitates the purchase of 4” C-clamps to keep the rails in place. They can be dislodged as the Tacoma bed and rails tilt in just a smidge, and the c-clamps can slide off. I envision getting some wooden shims to put between the metal of the rail and the metal of the c-clamp to possibly stop the slippage. But a minor detail. Fantastic tent. We love it. Awesomeness truck tent

This truck tent is amazing. It’s easy to set up, and is strong and durable canvas. It doesn’t have a floor, so I cut 1/2 in. “rag pad” to fit the bed of my truck with another layer of felt pad on top of that to make a little easier on the knees when crawling around. I have a full size truck with an 8’ bed, so I have plenty of room. Not sure how the smaller trucks do in that department.
