High quality tent

We bought a mid sized truck tent, have used it multiple times, and absolutely love it. We had owned a cheaper model years ago, by another manufacturer that utilized fiberglass poles, and we broke poles and lost tips over time. Kodiak’s aluminum poles with the interior cable and spring system is much stronger and reliable. We really like the plastic part that sits at the foot of the tent, where the tailgate is open, and you can leave your footwear there when inside the tent. The high vault of the tent is quite roomy, and very comfortable. The zippers and bug screens are well made, fantastic tent, highly recommend. My only criticism is keeping the metal rails securely in place. I have a Tacoma, and there’s a Tacoma plastic rail underneath the sides of the bed that necessitates the purchase of 4” C-clamps to keep the rails in place. They can be dislodged as the Tacoma bed and rails tilt in just a smidge, and the c-clamps can slide off. I envision getting some wooden shims to put between the metal of the rail and the metal of the c-clamp to possibly stop the slippage. But a minor detail. Fantastic tent. We love it. Thank you, Kodiak!

Sit-on-top Tonneau cover

I have a Chevy Colorado with a sit-on-top tonneau cover and Kodiak Truck Bed Tent. I made a wooden rail that sits over the clamps for the rails for the cover. It is level with the back latch. So I don't need to remove my rail system to use the tent. Great thing is the Kodiak rail velcros to the wooden rail, so no more guess work where to position the rails for the next set up. The tent's rail and wooden rail works as one unit when I remove them.

The tent is solid. Quality is good, i got a waterproof tarp just in case im ever in a crazy rainstorm. Hella spacious on the inside, my only complaint is the c clamps y’all sent is kinda weak and too small. I went to big r and had to get 4 inch clamps vs the 2 inch ones that come with it. The colorway looks great and excited too use it!

Thank you for your feedback. If your truck bed has a tonneau cover, or other specialized bed rails, you will likely have to purchase larger after-market C-Clamps to fit around and hold the mounting rails. Our truck tents come with standard-size 2 inch C-Clamps.

Canvas truck tent.

Very pleased with the purchase. Set up was reasonable. Better each time you do it. Definitely recommend a trial setup before camping. Quality was very good. Better than expected. We didn’t have any rain so I can’t attest to how well it would perform with rain. Overall very pleased and would highly recommend.
