I love that its a perfect footprint for my 10’x10’ canvas flewbow tent. Its designed to fit just shy of where you would drive the stakes in. Note that the grommets are for hanging it to dry, after use (not to align with tent stakes). Its thicker than most tarps, and allows rain to flow off the roof/walls of tent without pooling from an ill-fitted tarp underneath. Preserves the tent flooring, especially when camping on rocky/rough ground.
Wow, Kodiak did it again! Absolutely knocked it out of the park with this one. We have never slept so warm and comfortable while camping in our entire lives. The tent retains a lot of warmth which certainly comes in handy when camping in the CO high country. The quality of the material and moisture wicking of the canvas is all unmatched. The zippers… don’t get me started on the zippers. They’re big and don’t get caught or snag when you’re trying to zip up or down. Gone are the days of getting mad at snagging zippers. Worried about a Moab canyon wind storm sweeping through and blowing the tent all the way to Kansas?? Don’t be. This tent is as sturdy as a bison. She ain’t moving, unless you stake it down wrong… Then, that’s on you. Having 4 windows and 2 doors provides ample air flow to keep you cool. Highly recommend, it’s a great product from a great company. Keep it up.
Most people don't know this but there were some changes made to the tents around 2016. I have one of the first flexbow 10x14 tents. As things are used and age the poles finally needed to be changed out. I ordered new poles however they were 2 inches shorter than my original poles. I emailed Kodiak canvas to inquire. They gave me the measurements on what these poles should be and assured me that if they were those dimensions they would indeed work. I set the tent up and they do indeed work as well as the old original poles. The tent doesn't not have any issues with the new poles. Hopefully they put this in their frequently asked questions to save people questioning like I did. Absolutely 100% satisfied and would recommend them to anybody needing new poles.
I ordered the canvas patch and floor patch kit to have in case of an incident. I accidently had it going to a different shipping address and when I reached out they were really responsive and I got my products within a matter of day.
This is a great blanket, used it for camping and for home. Coldest it got camping when I used it was 48 and it kept me pretty warm. Highly recommend.
