10x10 Cabin Lodge Tent SR (Stove Ready)

$799.99

Description

Meet the newest member of the Kodiak Canvas's Stove Ready (SR) tents. The Cabin Lodge tent is where rugged meets refinement. Made with high performance, Hydra-Shield™, 100% cotton duck canvas. The tight weave and silicone finish make this canvas watertight yet breathable, minimizing condensation and mugginess that are common with synthetic tents. The sewn-in floor is a tough 13.5 oz vinyl with welded seams, that keeps water out. The tall ceiling (7.5 ft. at peak) and vertical wall design (4 ft. at sides) provide a roomy interior with stand-up, walk-around comfort. The large front door means no crouching when you come and go. Six large windows provide openness, and excellent airflow. Windows can be opened and closed from inside the tent, and feature no-see-um, screen mesh that keeps the smallest bugs out. A covered storm window and vents can be opened to circulate outside air, even when rainy. The door and windows feature top-rated YKK zippers. This design, boasting a frame with 1-inch, galvanized, steel tubing, will hold up to strong winds and even snow loads. A stove jack allows for use of a wood burning stove to keep you warm when temperatures drop. If using the tent without a stove, just zip the stove jack cover closed. A zippered storage bag and hefty, 12-inch, steel tent stakes are included. Requires two adults for setup. Limited lifetime warranty.

Buy It! Flint, MI

I noticed the review posted because I also live in Flint and would like to upgrade to a tent that is "waterproof". I currently have a Coleman and Core Tent, which both serve me well as a beginner. I am considering this - although I would like an enclosed awning/porch (which was the selling point on the Core tent). Thank you.

Jacqueline - you will not be dissapointed with the Cabin Lodge Tent. These tents (as all Kodiak Canvas Tents) are made to be fully waterproof and keep water out. They are durable and made with top of the line materials. Our 10x10 does not currently have awning additions for it, but if you are looking for one that does, check out our 12x12 or 12x16 size Cabin Lodge Tents.

One Use, Love it So Far

Took it up to fish kokanee for three days. Pitched it by myself which was time consuming but easy. Will be the perfect tent for multi day fishing/ hunting trips with a buddy or two. Ground tarp fits nicely under tent and helps get it square.

Solid tent. Worth the money.

Well made and nice and roomy. Has made it through a couple storms and no leaks. I would have liked that the front door also had a screen door though. I think it’s a little small to put a wood stove in so if you want that option I would go for a bigger size. Very happy with my purchase!

Buy it!

I can't imagine a better tent for the money. Well thought out, I had it set up the first time in a downpour in Michigans UP in about 45 minutes by myself. The other campers had rvs and were jealous of my setup! It made a great fishing basecamp and kept me warm and dry for two days and nights of pretty awful weather, only issue was I couldn't stay longer! The bag could bigger as is the case with any tent ever made, still a 5 star product!

First canvas tent

Well I did it, I bought one just like you are thinking of doing. I have the 10x10 stove ready. I have taken it on its inaugural outing. It was clear and cold. 28degress was the low. 2 adults 3 children and a dog. Nice little stove for inside as well. Had to have been around 60degrees in the tent. Tshirt was comfortable. Setup alone for the first time was 35min. Takedown about the same. Everything you need is with it, it packed better when I broke it down than when it came factory. I do not have the 12x12 but I imagine that unless it is multiple adults camping with multiple adults helping setup and take down that would be too much for the quick weekend camp. For longer outings and more full grown people, the 12x12 with its cool add on accessories might be the way to go.
