10 x 10 ft. Flex-Bow Deluxe Canvas Camping Tent

I took my new 10x10 flex-bow tent out for the first time on my recent early-October elk hunt in New Mexico. I set it up by myself in about 15 minutes, most of which was pounding the stakes into the ground. The seams are all very precise and robust. It was unusually warm this year, so I wished I’d also had the roof cover accessory to block the sun (for those mid-day naps!) but the four huge screened openings allowed the gentle breeze to keep things fairly cool during the day. My seven grandsons are going to love “camping” in this tent in my back yard for many years to come!

This tent is easy enough to set up and it tall and sturdy! We are glad we bought it!

I’ve had my flex bow tent for 8 years now. This is honestly one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. I do historical reenactment and often go to the summer camping events (historically accurate tent not required). I loved canvas for its breathability compared to the standard polyester/nylon type material used in most camping tents. I had originally thought of getting a historically accurate tent but realized that I wouldn’t be able to set them up by myself due to the nature of my physical disability.

Then I saw someone who had a Kodiak tent and talked their ear off with questions while they responded with equal enthusiasm about how much they loved their tent. They also showed me how easy tear down was. So when I got home I researched and read reviews and watched any video I could find. I decided that the 10x10 would be best for me and my service dog and saved up to get it.

And now to the main reason I’m writing this review. This last camping trip had three big thunderstorms one of which collapsed many other pop up tents around camp. My tent was rock solid as always and became the haven for me, my service dog, and 3 other people while we waited for the storm to pass so we could go back out and fix the tents. This makes the 10th storm my tent has gone through and each time it has held up like a champ.

In my opinion this tent is 100% worth every penny. It has kept me safe and dry for 8 years (used about 5 times a year) and it still is like new. This is truly the best tent out there.

Excellent quality tent. Highly recommend, looking forward to a week of moose hunting in Maine this fall.

This is my 3rd Kodiak canvas tent. The first, a 10x14 deluxe, has been great. Hunted out of it for a week in horrendous winds. Held up like a champ. One of the rivets tore on the awning but I really can’t blame the tent. The second, a 6.5x8, I bought used as a smaller shelter where I was the only one going. Used it for a while bear hunting and again no complaints at all. The most recent one is the 10x10 I bought new. I wanted something smaller than the 10x14 that was easier to setup myself but still gave me plenty of room to stand up and move around. I’ve only set it up in the back yard to season and waterproof it but I’m sure it will work just as well as the others. For the 10x14 and the 10x10 I purchased the ground tarp for under it. Well worth it, especially for the $$. A decent tarp would cost the same online or in store and wouldn’t have the stake loops and be the exact size. Are they the cheapest on the market? No. Are they the lightest? Again,no. If a person is ok with the weight and cost go for it. I say buy once cry once. I’ve never regretted spending the money on these. Especially when it’s dumping rain or snow and I don’t have to worry about the tent leaking or collapsing on me. You absolutely get what you pay for. I’ve never been one to leave reviews but these tents are worthy.
