After purchasing cheap tents for 35 years, I finally decided to purchase my last tent. I’m almost 60 years old and was able to put it all up myself except for the last leg on the middle peg with which my husband helped me. We don’t feel breezes through the tent, nor does the tent whip around. If it makes it through a typical Texas wind storm, we will be jubilant.
Great products with great people behind the scenes. They hooked up me with another tent after mine was stolen in ABQ. Highly recommend this company to anyone.
Outstanding job Kodiak! Excellent quality in materials and usefulness of the e item. In the work of business I’d say: Right product at the right price, right time, and right place. Please keep the quality in future products. Worked excellent in use and should last a lifetime of family camping trips.
Spacious, bright, sturdy. Gives the feeling of being in a cozy cabin. An absolutely simple set up and had much comfort camping in temps as low as 32F. Use of a propane heater, while keeping the tent vented and only during waking hours, was effective. No condensation! Best of all this tent will encourage me to camp more! The weight makes it suitable for anything except backcountry camping, packs down well for transport, and is just pure quality. Thank you, Kodiak!
The stove mat is great but black silicone ring around the stove pipe melted and stuck to the pipe the first fire I built
Thank you for your feedback. The stove jack will melt/crack if the stove is ran 'red hot' as warned against in the owner's manual. The stove jack has a thermal rating of up the 500 degrees fahrenheit (or red hot). Once that threshold is crossed, you have allowed your stove to become too hot and the stove jack will melt. Reach out to customer service for instructions on getting the stove jack replaced if necessary. We are sorry for any inconvenience.
