My old carry bag for my 10x14 tore on a recent trip. I ordered a replacement and it was at my door in less than a week. Fits perfect! thanks for the fast service!
Have only used it once so far but had much better sleep with this over my old traditional sleeping bag. This bag is QUIET and very warm. I also didn't need to sleep with gloves as my hands, which have a tendency to migrate out of the bag, stayed under the z-top. Only complaint is that my dog kept making herself at home in my bag.
I went with Kodiak because of an incredible customer service experience. I borrowed one from a friend and my dog got his chain caught up in it when I was out hunting. Put several large rips in the floor and wall. I explained what happened, sent some pictures, and Kodiak Canvas shipped a brand new one with zero fees. I was blown away. I used my new tent and stove this past week on a 4 day turkey hunting trip in the Utah mountains. Just under 9,000’ of elevation in April brought high winds, temps in the low 30s and several inches of snow. The tent and stove performed exceptionally well. My only issue was some melting of the seal where the stove pipe goes through the tent and several small burn holes in the tent roof from embers. You have to be super careful not to allow the fire to burn too hot. Do not leave the stove door open allowing for too much draft. This will overheat the stove pipe and allow burning embers to exit. I read all the safety instructions beforehand, and was being very cautious, but this still happened.
I’ve set it up a few times in yard so far but this thing is as sick as they say. Takes 10 minutes to do by myself. We’re using it for a family of 4 and there’s more than enough room. I’m also going to use it for hunting and it’s going to be luxury.
The stakes it comes with are heavy duty and there’s nothing wrong with them, but I bought 8” **** in stakes off Amazon that I can install with my impact driver. Game changer in the woods.
Highly recommend.
We already LOVE this canvas cabin tent! Well worth the investment. It is an amazing addition to our camp gear essentials. In a state that rains quite frequently, it keeps our things more dry compared to the standard nylon tents.
